I saw this post over at Ink Crush and thought it was so awesome, that I had to participate too… even if I’m a bit late to the game. Check out her Faves of 2011 posts over at her blog if you’d like to get in on the fun!
My choices below are from books I’ve read in 2011, they could be published any year. I had a hard time only picking one book for each category… so I cheated.
1.  Favorite book read so far in 2011
Anna and the French Kiss  Divergent (Divergent Trilogy)  Flat-Out Love
Oh, please. I couldn’t pick just one! I’m just impressed I narrowed it down to 3, I had like 7 :). Here are links to my reviews: Anna and the French Kiss, Divergent, and Flat-Out Love.

2.  Most powerful book

Jellicoe RoadImpulse
Just WOW.

3.  Most brilliantly funny
Hex Hall (Book 1)Demonglass (A Hex Hall Novel)
I haven’t read many funny books this year, but this one had me chuckling. I just love Sophie for her wit and sarcasm! My review is here.
4.  Most ache-y, heart-breaking, tear-jerker read
If I StayWhere She Went
I love these books. I cried.
5.  Most beautiful story

Where She Went
I had a hard time with this category… I almost just said “see above”. You can find my review for this one here.
6.  Fave rainy day comfort read
Anna and the French Kiss Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls)
Perfect rainy day reads! I actually read both of these on snowy days.
7.  Best tense, adrenalin-fueled, unputdownable award
Divergent (Divergent Trilogy)
This had my adrenaline pumping!

8.  The beautiful prose award
Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls) Linger (Wolves of Mercy Falls, Book 2)
I love the lyrical way Maggie Stievater writes! I can’t wait for my pre-ordered copy of Forever (Wolves of Mercy Falls, Book 3) to arrive tomorrow!
9.  Most atmospheric and vivid setting
Stolen
This book made me feel the heat, and taste the dust of the Australian desert.
10.  I-so-want-to-go-there award
Anna and the French Kiss
Ahh…. Paris, oui!

11.  Most original and imaginative
Across the Universe
Fantastic! My review is here.

12.  Best under-appreciated, hidden gem book
Flat-Out Love
I just love, love, LOVE this book! My review along with author interview will be posted later this week.
13.  I-had-no-idea-I-would-love-this-so award
Perfect Chemistry
I never thought I could love a story about a perfect cheerleader and a gang banger! There’s amazing chemistry between Alex and Brittany! My review is here.

Hush, Hush

16.  Series I am loving
Hex Hall (Book 1)Divergent (Divergent Trilogy)

17.  Most memorable voice award
Where She Went
Adam. *sigh* My review is here.

18.  Completely awesome premise award
Across the Universe
To be frozen for centuries, then woken up on the ship early, only to discover that current society is based on lies and there’s a murderer. Sweet. My review is here.

19.  Would make the best movie
Divergent (Divergent Trilogy)
I’d love to see Four in action. Yes. Please. In all seriousness, this would make a GREAT movie!

20.  Want to re-read already
Flat-Out LoveAnna and the French Kiss
I’m dying to re-read both of these.

Whew that was harder than I thought! What are your favorite reads of 2011 so far?
