Of Poseidon by Anna Banks
Publisher: Feiwel & Friends
Release Date: May 22, 2012

Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he’s heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen—literally, ouch!—both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma’s gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom . . .Told from both Emma and Galen’s points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance. (Goodreads)

This book sounds really cute. I’ve never really thought much of mer-people stories, but I’ve heard great things about this book already and I’m intrigued! This sounds like a great read for spring/summer!

I read an e-galley of “Of Poseidon” through NetGalley, and I thought it was great! I am a tough sell on mermaid fiction–only because I LOVE mermaids–and this book is a job well done.

It’s really rare that I will buy a book that I have reviewed, but I am buying it because this is one that I really need to own.
