2012 YA Audiobook Challenge at bookandlatte.com

Here’s the May link-up for the 2012 YA Audiobook Challenge! If you’re new here, and would like to sign up, there’s still time to join. You can find all the details, resources, and the sign up linky here!

So, what audiobooks have you read recently? Please share the good, the bad, and the ugly in the comments! In April I really enjoyed listening to The Stories I Only Tell My Friends by Rob Lowe (biography, not YA obviously), and Wither by Lauren DeStefano (links take you to Audible.com). I recommend both of these!

Right now I’m about half way through White Cat by Holly Black. I’m not sure what I think of it yet, I was really confused in the beginning and the narrator doesn’t do much for me – he’s OK, I’m just not wowed by his performance. I’ve heard amazing things about this series, so I’m waiting for it to hit me :).

Next on my list is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, which is this month’s neighborhood book club pick. It’s narrated by Jim Dale, one of my favorite narrators so I can’t wait! I’m also planning to listen to Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi! What’s on your list for May?

Submit your reviews in the linky below of YA audiobooks you listened to and reviewed in May, or ones you’ve completed in 2012 but have not linked up yet.

Please link directly to your review post, and not your blog or goodreads profile. Also, please include the audiobook title in the link name.

Example: Paper Towns by John Green (Jen @ A Book and a Latte)

Thanks, and happy listening!

Is the Night Circus considered YA? I have this book on my iPod but haven’t listened to it yet. I don’t know what I’ve been waiting for because Jim Dale is the best narrator EVER! If it counts, I’ll add it to my “ya to-read” shelf on Goodreads.

Hi Heidi! No, The Night Circus is adult so it doesn’t count, but I think it’s considered a cross-over title. I haven’t read it yet though to really know. I can’t wait to listen to it now that I know Jim Dale is the narrator!

I read The Night Circus last year, but as soon as I saw the audiobook was narrated by Jim Dale, I wanted it! However, I’m not sure I can justify spending my Audible credit on a book I’ve already read – not when there are so many more stories I want to listen to.

  4. Under The Never Sky sounds interesting. Actually, I haven’t tried listening to audio books, so I’m not really familiar with those. Well, thanks! I think I’ll be having a good start! 🙂
