I just found out that the Biannual Blogathon Bash starts tomorrow, June 22nd! I have plans this weekend, but I’m going to try and participate as much as possible. If you’re just hearing about this, there’s still time to sign up! There will be challenges and giveaways! This sounds like a great, fun way to make a dent in my blog’s to-do list.

Since I know my participation time will be limited, I’ve attempted to create a realistic to-do list. My actual blogging to-do list is much longer, but I’ve listed below what I hope to accomplish during this Blogathon.

To-Do List:

  • Challenge: Google Calendar
  • Draft/write discussion posts for Audiobook Week
  • Organize blog email account
  • Narrow down post categories, convert rest to tags
  • Send out questions for upcoming interviews
  • Schedule/draft upcoming review posts
  • Write/schedule posts for when I’ll be out of town
  • Add related posts plugin (I snagged this one from Amanda’s goals @ Letters Inside Out)

OK, now that I see this list typed out… this may be a little ambitious for me to complete this weekend, but I’m going to try! I’m on the prowl for challenges so this list may change. I will be updating this post during the blogathon to show my progress (crossing items off the list, adding/removing items).

Participants –  what challenges do you plan to tackle and what’s on your to-do list?

i’ve entered as well and while i will be at home, i’m quite sick so not sure how much i will be able to do either.
i will at least try to be on time for the review and create a list/page of the reviews by authors

now i have a lot more to do and i’m not sure it i should do a longer list and see what can be done without worry or just put a few things and see

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I do not think i am going to do this blogathon, it’s just gone 1am on the 22nd and i’m not prepared and i have quite a bit on where i won’t have access to a computer etc. I am also way behind with my reviews and reading and umm yeah all bit much really.

I checked out the link for the google calendar and it is absolutely AMAZING!! I bought a diary the other week to help me get sorted and it hasnt because when i’m on computer and i have new dates etc to add…i can’t be bothered to dig out the diary or even open it..lazy i know :/ So yeah this perfect. Seems a bit complex to set up, how have you found it?

    enjoy the blogathon xx

Well, I already had a google calendar set up but it was a single calendar for my blog so it wasn’t very useful to me so I never used it. After finding Amanda’s challenge I was inspired to give it another go. It was actually very easy to create multiple color coded calendars for different type of posts. I have ones titled: Requested ARC, NetGalley, Bought/Library, Meme, Random, Event… and a couple of others. I just set it up earlier today and it’s already been so useful!

Amanda’s challenge post was really good with instructions, so I suggest following her diagrams/pictures if you need help. Once you set up one calendar, the rest is easy!
