The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This meme was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Hi peeps! I hope you’ve had a great week! This past week I was in New York City for the BEA Bloggers Conference & Book Expo America! I had a BLAST, but I’m exhausted. BBC/BEA recap posts will be coming this week. I’m going to make this edition of The Sunday Post short and sweet.

Weekly News

I attempted to blog each day of BEA by posting pictures, but I gave up on the second day. I’m sorry! I was so exhausted and I was frustrated with blogging from the WordPress app on my iPhone. I also wish I could have participated in Armchair BEA more by commenting and participating in Twitter parties. I missed my laptop before (after I killed it, may it RIP) but I really missed having a laptop this past week, it was painful.

Book Haul

(aka Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews

Obviously with BEA, I had a huge, fabulous, awesome, OMG book week! However I plan to do a special post about BEA books… once my boxes that I shipped from NYC arrive. So… here’s a picture of the books that I carried on the plane with me, that I couldn’t dare to risk shipping. There were more that I wanted to carry but my shoulders and airline carry-on size/amount limits wouldn’t allow it. I’m not posting links because I just  want/need to be lazy today. These are in no particular order. I have fingers and toes crossed that my shipped boxes arrive safely and in one piece!

Currently Reading

I’m still reading these! I was only able to read a few pages at BEA, I thought I’d be able to read while waiting in author signing lines but I think I made the most of my experience at BEA by chatting with other people in line. I met some fabulous book bloggers, authors, book sellers, librarians, and even a lawyer while waiting in lines! I was too exhausted to read at night, so that didn’t happen either…

Time Between UsYesterday, on my trip home, I devoured Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone. It doesn’t come out until October but I couldn’t wait. It was my most anticipated BEA title and it did not disappoint. I loved it, and couldn’t put it down.

What are you reading?

Upcoming

Coming up this week I’ll be interviewing Kim Purcell, author of TRAFFICKED! I’ll also be posting my top ten beach reads, my WoW pick of the week, a guest review, my review of Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, and an audiobook review. Of course, I also plan to do some recap posts of the BEA Blogger Conference and Book Expo America. It’s going to be a busy week :).

Reminder: June is Audiobook Month (#JIAM), and Audiobook Week is June 25th-29th. Jen @ Devourer of Books is hosting, and I’ll be helping out here and there. I hope you join us, it’s going to be FUN, and there will be PRIZES! So get listening :).

Have a great week!

Hi from a UK follower and new book blogger. I’m about to start reading The Breakaway by Michelle Davidson Argyle and Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson. I’ve read good things about both of these so I’m excited to get started on them. BEA sounds like it was amazing, I’m looking forward to maybe going to our equivalent next year, The London Book Fair.
I’d love it if you could stop by my blog, Have Y.A Book. Will Read. Followers welcome!

I’m so glad to hear you liked Time Between Us — that was one of the ones I got that I’m really excited about too. I just finished up Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Deity, I’m not sure what’s next…maybe Throne of Glass? Can’t wait to hear your take on the bloggers con. I’ve heard some mixed reports.
