The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This meme was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Weekly News:

Hello! I hope you’ve had a great week! Life has been a bit crazy with house projects, visiting family, and travel, so this post will cover the past 2 weeks.

Recent posts:

This past Wednesday I attended the Fierce Reads Tour at the Tattered Cover. It was awesome meeting Elizabeth Fama (MONSTROUS BEAUTY), Ann Aguirre (ENCLAVE, OUTPOST), Lish McBride (HOLD ME CLOSER NECROMANCER & NECROMANCING THE STONE), and Marissa Meyer (CINDER)! I had planned to do a recap post this week but it didn’t happen. I have notes though, and pictures thanks to Nina @ Nina Reads, so it’s coming soon!

Book Haul

(aka Stacking the Shelves)

I received these for possible review. Almost was a gift from Anne, but I hope to read it soon and plan to review it. I’m really excited to read ALL of these!

I bought these, despite my current book buying ban…

  • No Escape (novella prequel to Don’t Turn Around) by Michelle Gagnon
  • Stained by Ella James
  • Enclave by Ann Aguirre

Currently Reading

I’m still in the middle of a bunch of books (mostly writing related ones, not shown…). I’m really behind on my reading right now, mainly because we’ve been working on our house so much. If you can’t tell, it’s NaNoWriMo prep time!

What are you reading?

Upcoming

This coming week, I’ll be posting my interview with Patty Blount, author of SEND in addition to my review. I’ll also be hosting a stop on the Keeper of the Lost Cities Blog Tour! As always I’ll share my WoW pick of the week, and hopefully post a couple of reviews.

I have to admit, I’ve been having a hard time keeping up with reviews and the blog posts these days… other parts of my life have been taking over my time and energy. I’m not able to post as often as I’d like right now, but I’m still here, and I’m not going anywhere! Hopefully you haven’t noticed too much, but I’m feeling it on this side…

Have a great week!

  2. Wow, you met Ann Aguirre! She’s one of my very favourite authors, so I fully approve of you getting Enclave… even if it broke your book buying ban. It was one of my favourite books to come out last year, so I hope you enjoy it.

  3. How fun to do a stop on the Fierce Reads tour! It seems like very few authors ever come through Florida, by I wish they did! Would love to read a recap!

I’m pretty terrible at actually adhering to my book buying bans…. I am currently in one… but all my pre-orders don’t count. HA.
