The Making of the Never Knights Music Video

I had the opportunity to produce a music video for the Never Knights book series along with the producer of music sensation Kina Grannis’ music videos. If you don’t know who Kina Grannis is, you will.

She’s an indie music sensation who was signed by Interscope Records and has a convention her fans created for her called K-Con. Here’s more on her: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kina_Grannis. We also happen to share the same initials “KG” so fate has brought her producer and I together to create a music video with a top-notch cast and crew for Never Say Never.

The Never Knights series is about learning and growing, and finding yourself. For Never (Neve) Knight and her bandmates, they find that music whether it’s just jamming or for expressing their emotions and self, is a powerful way to communicate to people. It’s therapy, it’s escapism, it’s a way to show people love.

So, it was appropriate for us to create a music video celebrating rock and roll, and to pay homage to one of the music greats of Never Knight’s father Keith Knight’s time period. I’m not giving away the music video, but everyone on the set could not stop laughing and smiling throughout filming.

It’s a total feel good music video, and in the end, there is a very powerful message that says a lot about men and women that spans all age groups.

I hope everyone will enjoy it when it comes out in a few weeks or sooner.

Meanwhile, here’s a sneak peek at a photo of me sitting in the Executive Producer’s chair and the star, singer AJ Raphael, who sings the main song in the video. Awesome voice. Incredible vocals coming out of this very cool and down-to-earth guy with a big heart. AJ is not only a hugely popular singer, but at a very young age, he has already created his own non-profit organization that raises awareness about music therapy for autism. It’s called Music Speaks, and I’m proud to be working with him on this music video for Never Say Never!
