Ryan lowers his lips to my ear. "Dance with me, Beth."

"No." I whisper the reply. I hate him and I hate myself for wanting him to touch me again....

"I dare you..."

If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk's home life, they'd send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom's freedom and her own happiness. That's how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn't want her and going to a school that doesn't understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn't get her, but does....

Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can't tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn't be less interested in him.

But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won't let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all...

I’m posting this review embarrassingly late… I snuck in reading Dare You To right before I started the Denver Publishing Institute, and I didn’t get around to reviewing it. But this book/series is so awesome, I have to give it some love here! It’s been months since I’ve read the book, so my review is short and sweet.

I loved Dare You To by Katie McGarry. I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning finishing this book with tears and all, because I couldn’t put it down. I was a little worried that it wouldn’t live up to Pushing the Limits, and I worried over nothing. This book was fantastic, and I may have even liked it more than Noah and Echo’s story… I was impressed again by how Katie McGarry just gets these teens, and how her characters bring me to tears… I loved getting to know Beth, and her story. And Ryan… I just fell in love with him. If you haven’t started this series yet, what’s stopping you? If you’re a fan of edgy YA contemporary, this series is for you!

I enjoyed this one a lot also. I have quite a few books I read over the last few months that I still haven’t written reviews for. I am doing a NetGalley challenge this month and my goal is to get around to writing those reviews also……I hope :).
