Welcome to A Book and a Latte! Thank you for taking the time to read our review policy.

Our reviews are our own honest opinions. We post both positive and negative reviews, however the primary goal of this blog is to promote books. Therefore, it’s rare that a review is posted if it’s rated under 3 stars. All reviews are written respectfully, with constructive criticism. Click HERE to learn more about ABaaL’s reviewers.

We’re not able to accept review requests for self-published titles at this time.  However, exceptions may be made if we’ve worked with you before. If you see a self-published book reviewed here, it’s because the reviewer discovered it and picked it up on their own, or it was highly recommended by friends.

Authors & Publishers:
We accept ARCs, books, ebooks, and audiobooks from authors and publishers. ABaaL is always interested in interviewing authors, guest posts, hosting tours, author chats, and/or giveaways to promote your book(s)!

A Book and a Latte is primarily a Young Adult literature blog. Currently, we’re interested in the following YA (and sometimes NA) genres:

  • Romance
  • Chick lit
  • Mystery/Thrillers
  • Contemporary Fiction
  • Dystopian
  • Fantasy
  • Action/Adventure

We’re not usually interested in:

  • Nonfiction
  • Titles with religious undertones

A note from the founder/owner:

Please understand that I read for my own enjoyment, and I’m no longer able to guarantee anyone a review. I’m a book blogger with a passion for reading and desire to share my experience with others. I am not a book critic. My ratings are based upon how I feel while reading the book and are therefore completely subjective. I have no interest in writing an analytical review, simply because for me, a critical analysis would take all the fun out of reading.

Due to the amount of emails I receive, please understand that I’m unable to respond to each and every one. I typically only respond if I’m interested in your book or participating in your event. I used to try to respond to everyone but it became too time consuming and it turned blogging into a full time job. Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks for reading!
