The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This meme was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Hello, and Happy Mother’s Day to all my readers that are moms!

It’s been a fun week here on the blog. On Monday, I was fortunate to host Jolene Perry as part of her Knee Deep Blog Tour! She discussed how Knee Deep came to be, and just how personal it became. She also shared an excerpt and is giving away an ebook copy of Knee Deep to one of my readers, so be sure to check it out and enter to win! I also posted my WoW pick of the week, the book trailer for Changeling — Philippa Gregory’s debut YA novel, and reviewed In Honor by Jessi Kirby which I loved.

The most exciting news for the week, is that A Book and a Latte celebrated its one year blogoversary on Friday May 11th! To celebrate I’m giving away a 2012 release of choice, to TWO winners, so be sure to enter. Of course, there are virtual cupcakes for everyone :). The celebration continues this week as ABaaL is participating in a huge giveaway of a Kindle Fire and $50 gift card to Amazon.com, beginning on Tuesday May 15th, so keep a look out for that post!

I received some great books this week! Check out my book haul:

FOR REVIEW:

Many thanks to HarperTeen for sending me this title. I haven’t read Starcrossed yet, but I hope to soon!

Dreamless by Josephine Angelini

Thanks to Random House and NetGalley for these titles!

Flutter by Gina Linko
Velveteen by Daniel Marks

Thanks to Aaron Michael Ritchey for sending me his book! Aaron is a Colorado author that I had the opportunity to meet at the CO Teen Literature Conference in March. The CO book bloggers and authors met up for dinner afterwards and I was able to chat with him about his book, and I’m intrigued!  I’m not typically a fan of angel stories, but I have been challenged to give this one a try.

The Never Prayer by Aaron Michael Ritchey

Next week is going to be busy. Tomorrow, I’m honored to be part of the cover reveal for TRIBUTARY (River of Time #3.2) by Lisa T. Bergren! I’m honored to have been picked and to share with you an exclusive excerpt. Tuesday the Kindle Fire giveaway will be posted, and that runs through the end of May, so don’t forget to come back and enter! Also on Tuesday, Kim Purcell will be here to discuss an important topic. Of course there will also be my WoW pick of the week, and a couple of reviews.

In other news… I’m listening Ready Player One by Ernest Cline on audio, and I’m really, really enjoying it! It’s narrated by Wil Wheaton and I don’t think there could be a more perfect narrator for this novel. I’ve seen Ready Player One listed as both Adult and Young Adult. I’m not sure which it is, but it is most definitely a cross-over title. If you’re a fan of the 80s, like pop culture from the mid-70s to present day, and enjoy a good quest, I think you’ll LOVE this book!

That’s all for me this week, what books have you received/picked up lately?

I can’t wait to hear what you think of Velveteen and I LOVED Ready Player One when I read it in December. It was so good and I bet Wil Wheaton is an amazing narrator.
