The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This meme was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Weekly News

The big news from last week is that I posted my first ever podcast type interview! I had the honor of interviewing Ernest Cline, the author of READY PLAYER ONE a couple of weeks ago and I was excited to share the experience last week. I even transcribed the interview! I had so much fun meeting Ernie and chatting with him. We talked about RP1, favorites of the 80s, how Wil Wheaton was chosen as the narrator of the audiobook, his EPIC contest,  Fanboys, and screenplays vs. novels. If you missed it, be sure to check it out, and no worries… it’s spoiler free!

In case you’ve been hiding under a rock and haven’t noticed… This past week was Audiobook Week hosted by Jen @ Devourer of Books! I helped out with choosing participation winners (using random.org) and tracking which books winners picked. It was a very small, small part of the event. Jen did an excellent job with organizing and executing Audiobook Week. I loved the discussion posts, and took part each day. I wish I had posted some audiobook reviews but I didn’t have enough in the cue. Here’s a list of my discussion posts from the week:

I also revealed the cover of Uriel by Aaron Patterson, and posted my WoW pick of the week.

I had a great week of books! HarperTeen surprised me with a package! I knew TEN was coming, but I wasn’t expecting all of these. Thanks so much to HarperTeen for making my day when I found this package on my doorstep, I love surprises!

Upcoming

This week I’m hosting The Color of Snow Blog Tour, and Heather McCorkle will be visiting to share a guest post about the inspiration for her book To Ride of a Puca. I’ll also be posting a couple of reviews – one being a guest review from my BFF Anne – and as always, I’ll post my WoW pick of the week.

Independence Day is this week too! I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe holiday… and that you take a moment to remember why we celebrate.

In other news, I’ll be traveling this week, and most of July! My access to internet will be limited this week, and next week I won’t have access at all (starting July 7th). So I won’t be able to respond to email, comments, or tweets then. I’ll do my best to catch up once I return. July is going to be crazy for me… thankfully I have plenty of posts scheduled throughout the month so be sure to check back! I’ll admit, I’m kind of looking forward to a vacation from the internet. I’ve become a little burned out recently.

Have a great week!

Throne of Glass has made it on to my Wish List due to the amount of coverage it’s been receiving.

I hope Ten gets a Kindle release in the UK, because I like the idea of this update based on Agatha Christie’s And Then There Was None.

    Enjoy.

  3. I have never gotten a surprise package before so I don’t really know how it feels, but I am so jealous of Team Human and TEN! I still have to read A Need So Beautiful before A Want So Wicked, but I hope you enjoy them! 🙂
