Off Topic: The Pupdog

Since I’m out of town this week, I thought it would be fun schedule a post introducing you to my pupdog Koda.

We adopted her from Paws Animal Rescue when she was 5 months old. This is what she looked like the day we brought her home. Doesn’t she sit pretty? Yes, I realize I’m biased! Her name is Koda but she’s also known as Kodini (she lives up to and reminds us of this nickname often) and Koda Bear.

She taught us early on that she requires belly rubs on a regular basis… like hourly. She likes to roll in fresh cut grass, chew on her Nylabones, guard the house, and herd anything that moves – animals, kids, even us! She absolutely loves to go on walks, runs, and/or hikes (which we have to refer to as W, R, or H respectively or she goes nuts). She’s now 6 years old! I can’t believe it. Everyone asks what breed she is… She’s 100% mutt and proud of it! Her mom was a Lab-Golden Retriever mix, and we think her daddy is an Australian Shepherd. She’s my fur-kid.
