Saba has spent her whole life in Silverlake, a dried-up wasteland ravaged by constant sandstorms. The Wrecker civilization has long been destroyed, leaving only landfills for Saba and her family to scavenge from. That’s fine by her, as long as her beloved twin brother Lugh is around. But when a monster sandstorm arrives, along with four cloaked horsemen, Saba’s world is shattered. Lugh is captured, and Saba embarks on an epic quest to get him back.
Suddenly thrown into the lawless, ugly reality of the world outside of desolate Silverlake, Saba is lost without Lugh to guide her. So perhaps the most surprising thing of all is what Saba learns about herself: she’s a fierce fighter, an unbeatable survivor, and a cunning opponent. And she has the power to take down a corrupt society from the inside. Teamed up with a handsome daredevil named Jack and a gang of girl revolutionaries called the Free Hawks, Saba stages a showdown that will change the course of her own civilization.

MTV’s Hollywood Crush blog called “better than The Hunger Games.”
It seemed so simple: Defeat the Tonton, rescue her kidnapped brother, Lugh, and then order would be restored to Saba’s world. Simplicity, however, has proved to be elusive. Now, Saba and her family travel west, headed for a better life and a longed-for reunion with Jack. But the fight for Lugh’s freedom has unleashed a new power in the dust lands, and a formidable new enemy is on the rise.
What is the truth about Jack? And how far will Saba go to get what she wants? In this much-anticipated follow-up to the riveting Blood Red Road, a fierce heroine finds herself at the crossroads of danger and destiny, betrayal and passion.

I really liked the writing style of Blood Red Road A LOT! And I’m looking forward to seeing more of Saba! She’s a really interesting character with flaws that make so much sense to me and I really admire her courage and everything.

I really loved Blood Red Road. I loved everything about it. The writing style, Saba, Jack, I could go on & on.
I remember just loving Saba. She made the whole book for me. And I really loved the dialect – it kind of set the book in place for me. Really excited for Rebel Hearts!

I read Blood Red Road and really liked it…the desert is such a great setting for a story like this and Jack is a really great character. He and Saba are interesting and awesome to read.
I did read it and gosh it was amazing! I recommended it to tons of people and let a lot of my friend borrow it so they could read it and love it to (they sure did). I think my favorite parts where the adventures/action and the love story. Gah! Can’t wait until I get a chance to read the sequel!
I haven’t read it yet, but would like to.
I have read BRR 3 times now! 😀 So as you can see i have been DYING to read Dust Lands! I love the the action! Action, Action, Action! It has so much I couldnt turn the pages fast enough! I also love the subtle love scenes! They made a giggle like 12 year old and made me laugh out loud! I really, really love BBR and hopefully I will be able to meet the author some day! 😀
I haven’t read either of these books yet but they look so amazing! I have heard great things about Blood Red Road and love strong heroines! The story of Blood Red Road sounds so interesting to me and I can’t wait to read how Saba takes on the corrupt society and beats them (hopefully)! It took me a few pages to get into the groove of Saba’s voice and Moira’s writing style when I was reading Blood Red Road, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down!
