Waiting on Wednesday (WoW) is a weekly event hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week’s WoW feature is:

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie PerkinsIsla and the Boy Next Door
by Stephanie Perkins

Publisher: Dutton
Expected publication: September 17, 2013

From the glittering streets of Manhattan to the moonlit rooftops of Paris, falling in love is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year in France, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to confront the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever.

Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new. (Goodreads)

Um… Duh? I don’t even think I need to say anything about this one! Stephanie Perkins is on my author must-buy list. I absolutely adored both Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door (click links for my reviews). I. Can. NOT. Wait. For. THIS BOOK!

I’m not sure about this cover though. The entire companion series got new covers. I have both of the other books with the original covers and this one isn’t going to match. GRRRR. They’re not horrible, but they don’t do much for me. What do you think?

What book are you anxiously waiting for this week?

I’m looking forward to this one too. I don’t mind the cover, but it’s not fun when they change midway and then nothing matches!

  6. Stephanie Perkins is on my auto-but list too! So excited for another companion. I’m not thrilled about this cover either. These books are cute YA contemporaries, and this seems like it is trying to appear to a different audience, which is fine. I get it. But the titles may make that a little hard.Still can’t wait though!

I’m so excited for this one too! And I don’t know what to think about these. I hate when the covers don’t match, but I like the new covers better… however, the original covers capture the tone of the books better, I think.
