Waiting on Wednesday (WoW) is a weekly event hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
This week’s WoW feature is:
A breathtaking journey toward self-discovery and true love, from the author of If I Stay
When sheltered American good girl Allyson “LuLu” Healey first meets laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter at an underground performance of Twelfth Night in England, there’s an undeniable spark. After just one day together, that spark bursts into a flame, or so it seems to Allyson, until the following morning, when she wakes up after a whirlwind day in Paris to discover that Willem has left. Over the next year, Allyson embarks on a journey to come to terms with the narrow confines of her life, and through Shakespeare, travel, and a quest for her almost-true-love, to break free of those confines.
Just One Day is the first in a sweepingly romantic duet of novels. Willem’s story—Just One Year—is coming soon! (Goodreads)
I don’t think I need to explain why I picked this one. It’s written by Gayle Forman, that’s all I need to know. And that synopsis?! Hello! An American traveling abroad and finding almost-true-love — this is a MUST read for me!
What book are you anxiously waiting for this week?

Yeah, I had to take a double look. I think we’re viewing her through a window, seeing the reflection of the city she’s in… Paris or London maybe?

I still haven’t read Forman, which might explain why this one isn’t an automatic for me (the insta-love throws me off). I may yet be persuaded to give it a try, though. Nice pick!

This isn’t cliche insta-love. Well, I haven’t read it so maybe I don’t know but I just can’t imagine Forman doing that… I think she can pull it off! I definitely recommend IF I STAY and WHERE SHE WENT. No insta-love there!
