It’s day 4 of Audiobook Week, hosted by Jen at Devourer of Books. I’m sneaking in this post tonight :).  Today’s topic is “Recommendations for the Uninitiated”. I’ve seen a bunch of great posts giving tips for those that are new to audiobooks… I don’t really have any new/different advice so instead of giving tips, I’m going to use this post to recommend my favorite audiobooks of all time! Though if you read my other audiobook week posts I’ve already mentioned most of these :).

My All-Time Favorite Audiobooks:

I know I have a bunch more… but honestly I’ve been listening to audiobooks for so long and I didn’t really pay attention to the names of narrators until recently. A lot of my old favorites can only be found on cassette tapes (Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt novels, The Horse Whisperer by Nicholas Evans)! So I can’t confidently say that the audio version was my favorite because it was so long ago…
My favorite narrators (if it’s not obvious) are Jenna Lamia and Jim Dale. Again, I know this should be a longer list but I’ve only recently started to really pay attention. I might have to re-do this post next year :). I also recommend audiobooks that have both male and female narrators, or a full cast!
What are you favorites? Do you have any recommendations for me? Leave them in the comments :).
