Hello my lovely readers! For Colorado Book Month (#COBookMonth), I’ll be participating in the Monday meme, This Colorado Life hosted by Jessi at Otherwhere.Co!
What’s your favorite athletic activity to do? Hiking, biking, boarding? Or are you more a sports follower, chilling out on Sundays with the Broncos?
Hands down, my favorite athletic/outdoor activity is hiking! I love discovering new-to-me trails and exploring them at different parts of the year — spring, summer, fall, and winter. In the winter I just slap some snowshoes or spikes on!
I’ve really gotten back into hiking recently, mainly staying in the foothills. I’m trying to get back into shape and hope to tackle another 14er, a mountain over 14,000 feet, this summer. Below is a picture from the top of my first 14er (that I’ve hiked), Bierstadt.
I’m not much of a sport follower, but I keep tabs on the Rockies and Broncos. During football season, I can usually be found chillin’ on the couch with my husband on a Sunday watching a Broncos game… I just may be cuddled up with a book at the same time :).
Residents and visitors, what’s your favorite athletic or outdoor activity to do in Colorado?

I love to hike… but I think hiking a 14er would be TOUGH!!! Good job!

I’ve been wanting to try snowshoeing! Maybe I will make that a goal for next year. We almost did it when we went up to Estes two years ago in November (in RMNP), but for various reasons we couldn’t. I was just talking to someone the other night about doing it, actually! I do hike the other three seasons, though. 🙂
