Hi challengers! Below is the September link-up for the 2012 YA Audiobook Challenge! If you’re new here, and would like to sign up, there’s still time to join. You can find all the details, resources, and the sign up linky here! In case you missed the news, 4 levels have been added to this challenge. Check out the challenge’s page for more details.
So, what are you listening to? Any new favorite audiobooks? This month I listened to Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson (a memior, not YA), and it was hysterical! I also just finished Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr. I really liked the story, and loved that it was narrated by James Marsters! Right now I’m listening to Don’t Turn Around by Michelle Gagnon, and I’m loving it so far – all I want to do is listen! Darn life getting in the way.
Submit your reviews in the linky below of YA audiobooks you listened to and reviewed in September, or ones you’ve completed in 2012 but have not linked up yet. Please link directly to your review post, and not your blog or goodreads profile. Also, please include the audiobook title in the link name.
Example: Paper Towns by John Green (Jen @ A Book and a Latte)
Thanks, and happy listening!

You should do that! Though you may get odd looks for laughing your butt off in the car by yourself :).

Hi, Jen. I listened to the Anna series by Kendare Blake, and I think I would have enjoyed them more READING them than LISTENING. You can see my reviews for my comments about the narrator.
I’m listening to a fabulous audiobook right now (not YA): Battle Royale by Koushun Takami. So good!

I will go check them out! I know exactly what you mean. I hate that feeling though, when you wish you had READ the book after you just finished listening to it. Audios can go either way…

Hi guys, I’m not apart of the challenge, but I listen to a lot of audio books, almost all YA and I was just wondering where you all get your books. I am currently listening through overdrive with my library. Any other recommendations for someone that listens to about 2 a week?

Hi Erin! You should definitely join the challenge, you don’t have to have a blog to participate. You can link to your reviews on goodreads.com! It’s not too late to join :). To answer your question, I get most of my audiobooks from the library! I’m lucky to live near a great library with an awesome audiobook selection (I do Overdrive too but my the selection AT my library is better).
Audible.com is a great source too, if you don’t mind paying. If you listen to a lot of audiobooks I do think it’s cost effective for the savings you get, and they offer deals for members.
